With its long history of producing and marketing synthetic fibers — from Nylon 6 to Nylon6,6 and Dryarn® to the elastomeric fiber XLA —, Aquafil has won an important share of the textile market.
Today, it is the primary supplier to some of Europe's leading manufacturers of clothing, swimwear and sportswear.
Aquafil’s investment in research enables the Group to support its customers in the development of new textile products to respond to the latest fashion trends and demand for high-tech clothing and sportswear.
In particular, the Group has developed innovative solutions for the swimwear, underwear and sportswear sectors. The range of products includes the microfiber Dryarn® and the regenerated ECONYL® nylon filaments. Each is produced based on the specific needs of the individual project agreed upon with weavers and final brands.

All regenerated yarns by Aquafil are grouped under the ECONYL® brand. These yarns offer the same quality and performance as normal Nylon 6 but with incredible environmental benefits due to the fact that they come from regenerated waste and are 100% endlessly regenerable.
The Aquafil Group produces Nylon 6 fibers for clothing with the highest standards of performance for use in extreme sports and adverse weather conditions.
The constant commitment to research new materials for use in various disciplines meets the demands of markets in which advances in clothing can be increasingly important in improving results in competition.
Dryarn is a prime example of a microfiber used to produce garments that are extremely flexible, lightweight and breathable.
In addition to the applied research and high quality of its products, Aquafil works closely with some of the leading Italian and European brands in the underwear, swimwear and fashion industries.

Since 2008, Dryarn has been a faithful component of the athletic achievements of veteran marathon runner Marco Olmo, who has always competed under extreme conditions. Long, demanding races have taken him through vigorous and challenging environments such as mountains and deserts. Now at over 60 years old, his lifestyle is still an example for the rest of the "ultratrail" world.
