The Aquafil Group is proud to announce that its ECONYL® (BCF) solution dyed yarn has been used as raw material to produce the ‘Visions of’ collection from European carpet manufacturer, Desso. The ‘Visions of’ collection has recently been awarded with a ‘red dot product design’ award. The ‘red dot’ is a quality seal for aesthetic forms and lasting trends, handed out each year during one of the most renowned design contests in the world. The ‘Visions of’ carpet tile range offers a unique blend of patented technology and unparalleled design and consists of three different products, each with a specific design. The successfull co-operation between Aquafil and Desso, has resulted in this particular collection, which incorporates Aquafil’s latest yarn technology.

Aquafil produced synthetic yarn used to realize the carpet flooring for this new buiding in Munich, one of the most dynamic and young city in Europe.

The synthetic carpet flooring of the German Headquarter of the employment agency Monster.de has been realized by Aquafil and Dura. It confirms the high quality and performance of the realized products.

The projects of the designer/artist Marcel Wanders are a prime example of how a carpet made from 100% rigenerated ECONYL® yarn can be used to create artistic buildings, with a very distinctive feel. This is precisely what we can see here: a multicolored synthetic flooring, which perfectly matches the exuberant artistic interior with exotic details that evoke distant lands.

The Mazzer Group, which partners Aquafil in the plastics sector, has chosen the ECONYL® polymer to produce the Ecogrip thermal break bars used in door and window insulation. Made from recycled polymers, Ecogrip assures the same performance as the bars made from new raw materials, but performs better in terms of environmental impact as it eliminates the use of non-renewable materials, reducing the atmospheric emissions of CO2 and the amount of landfill.

The Aquafil Group and Anker Teppichboden collaborated in the construction of one of the most prestigious and remarkable hotels in Europe: the Khameha Grand Bonn. Built on the banks of the River Rhine, on a spot where one of Europe's oldest cement factories once stood, the hotel is remarkable for its perfect combination of the ultimate in luxury and the ultimate in sustainability. Thanks to the filament used to make the multicolored, multi-shape carpets, the Aquafil Group can be proud of its contribution to the realization of this visionary dream which is at the cutting edge of sustainability.
