Aquafil expertise to support the textile and clothing industry
With its long experience in the production and marketing of synthetic fibers — from nylon 6 to 6.6, from Polipropilene to the elastomeric fiber XLA —, Aquafil has won an important share of the textile market. Today, it is the principal supplier to some of the leading Italian and European manufacturers of clothing, underwear and sportswear.
Aquafil’s constant commitment to research enables the Group to support its customers in the development of new textile products to respond to the latest fashion trends, and the demand for high-tech clothing and sportswear.
In particular, the Group has developed innovative solutions in the swimwear, underwear and sportswear sectors. The range of the products includes the micro-fiber Dryarn and the recycled polyamide filaments Econyl, which are produced upon specific projects agreed with weavers and final brands.
Even in the textile industry, the customer-focused approach is the factor which drives the Group's actions.

Environmental Product Declaration
The NTF Business Unit produced a EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) to analyse the impact due to the production of two yarns, belonging to the same family but with different characteristics.
The definition of EPD is regulated by the ISO 14025, that adfirms it is a set of "quantified environmental data for a product with pre-set categories of parameters, based on the ISO 14040 series of standards". The EPD permits to comunicate objective, comparable and credible informations about all the products and services, independently by their using or role in the supply chain.
