Aquafil and Julon, leading companies in the synthetic fibres and polymers Division, are equipped with 10 polymerization lines, which work in continuous or discontinuous flow, or batch, for different viscosity grades.

The products obtained are destined to supply the different business units which form the Division: BCF, synthetic yarns for textile use and technopolymers.

Part of polyamide 6 base polymer feeds Aquafil Technopolymers’ plant dedicated to the production of nylon compounds 6 and 66 for injection moulding and extrusion, through a process of upwards integration as to its demand for raw material.

The residual production is marketed as omopolymer and copolymer for extrusion with the trademark Aquamid.

To the Aquamid range belong polyamide resins with viscosity variable from 2.4 to 5.

Specific additives make them suited also for moulding.
