The 100% Italian partnership points to the re-launching of the XLA product, an innovative and advanced elastomeric fiber. Aquafil and Carvico – which are partner in the textile and clothing sector – are proud to announce the birth of a new Joint Venture called “XLAnce Fibre Italia”.
Thanks to this synergic action, “XLAance Fibre Italia” concluded an agreement with Dow Chemical Company, acquiring all the brands and patents regarding the XLA brand, an innovative elastomeric Fiber developed by the American company. The Joint Venture acquired the entire DOW production lines and industrial plants located in Terragona (ES), which will be moved in Italy (Varallo Pombia, Novara), where it will be placed the production activities.
This Joint Venture – which is controlled by Aquafil and Carvico with the same ownership share (50%) – will have a strategic role to re-launch on the market the XLA Fiber, which is an innovative and well-positioned product. It could offer relevant growth opportunity, thanks to the improving of the “XLAnce Fibre Italia” market share, because of its important characteristics, like the R&D activities.
Thanks to the experience and skills of Aquafil and Carvico, it will be possible to define an efficient strategic project, able to place the XLA brand at the top level in the synthetic fiber market and to consolidate our leadership in the textile sector.
