Aquafil and Asahi Kasei

Aquafil is expanding its horizons through a collaboration with Asahi Kasei, a Japanese company committed to the research and development of advanced materials. The two organizations are joining forces to explore new sustainable and innovative solutions for the 3D printing industry and the production of components for the automotive and aeronautical sectors. The Itochu group also supports the project, further strengthening the shared commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Asahi Kasei has recently developed a cutting-edge polymer for 3D printing, designed to ensure high resistance to stress and maximum flexibility. Additionally, the material includes the use of cellulose nanofiber, a key component that improves the strength and durability of the polymer. By integrating ECONYL® regenerated nylon into the technology, this material helps reduce environmental impact and promote circular production models, creating a new generation of high-quality components.

Innovation and Sustainability in 3D

The synergy between Aquafil and Asahi Kasei is based on a shared vision: to innovate the materials industry with technically advanced and responsible solutions. On the one hand, Asahi Kasei continues its research into 3D printing materials with a focus on quality and technical precision, while on the other, Aquafil contributes its expertise in regenerated nylon. Together, the two companies aim to develop solutions that not only meet the technical needs of the market but also have a positive impact on the environment.

Automotive and Aeronautical: Moving Towards New Horizons

Thanks to this partnership, Aquafil, and Asahi Kasei aim to transform the use of regenerated materials in the automotive and aeronautical sectors, where it is essential to combine high performance with reduced environmental impact. The materials developed will open up new opportunities for manufacturers, offering a unique combination of strength and flexibility, with a focus on sustainability.

This synergy represents an important step towards an industrial future increasingly oriented towards circularity. In a world where innovation and environmental awareness are closely intertwined, the collaboration between Aquafil and Asahi Kasei offers solutions that address both market and environmental challenges in a conscious and forward-thinking manner.
