Aquafil and Radici Marine Bring Circular Innovation to the Marine Industry at CSI Hamburg

The collaboration between Aquafil and Radici Marine will take center stage at Cruise Ship Interiors (CSI) Expo in Hamburg, taking place on December 3–4, 2025.
It will be an opportunity to showcase how shared values — innovation, quality, and circularity — can translate into tangible solutions for the world of marine interior design.

Circular Design at CSI Hamburg

Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe is one of the most important trade fairs in Europe dedicated exclusively to cruise ship interior design. The event represents a key networking hub for the naval and cruise furnishing industry, gathering leading professionals to exchange insights and explore the latest innovations shaping the sector.

At the shared Booth J30, Aquafil and Radici Marine will present the results of a partnership that combines material innovation with textile craftsmanship, paving the way for a new approach to circular marine design.
This collaboration is part of Aquafil’s R2R® (Born Regenerated to be Regenerable) program — an initiative that rethinks product design through a circular lens, ensuring that materials can be regenerated and reintroduced into the production cycle.

Within this framework, Radici Marine has developed Bloom Back, an IMO-certified carpet collection made entirely of polyamide 6, ensuring full material compatibility and complete recyclability through the ECONYL® Regeneration System, at the end of life.
The collection uses ECONYL® regenerated nylon, obtained entirely from nylon waste, and embodies a new design philosophy that unites beauty, durability, and responsibility.
This partnership demonstrates how collaboration and innovation can reduce the environmental impact of the maritime industry without compromising on aesthetics or technical performance.
