Aquafil and UK Sustainable Flooring Alliance (UKSFA)
Aquafil is proud to be a member of the UK Sustainable Flooring Alliance (UKSFA), a trade association formerly known as Carpet Recycling UK. The alliance brings together manufacturers, retailers, recyclers, and policymakers across the flooring value chain to advance a shared ambition: reducing waste, encouraging reuse, and promoting circular design throughout the industry.
UKSFA plays an important role in supporting the flooring sector to reduce the amount of textile and resilient flooring going to landfill in the UK. By encouraging knowledge exchange and collaboration, it helps its members develop solutions that extend product lifecycles and contribute to the transition towards a circular economy.
For Aquafil, being part of this network reflects our ongoing commitment to circular design and regeneration. The Born R2R® (“Regenerated to be Regenerable”) project embodies this approach, introducing a new way of eco-designing carpets that takes into account their end-of-life, making them easier to disassemble, recycle, and regenerate into new resources.
By supporting UKSFA, Aquafil is proud to stand alongside other members who share the ambition to transform the flooring sector into a circular industry and to promote solutions that give new life to materials at the end of their use.
As part of this collaboration, on 8 October 2025 at 2 PM (UK time), Cristina Stefani, BCF Marketing of Circularity Projects at Aquafil Spa, will hold a webinar on the UKSFA platform to share some insightful details about a new project on circularity that the Company is carrying out.
