Aquafil at event “Create Sustainability”

Aquafil has been invited as one of selected trusted supplier, to BMW event “Create Sustainability – BMW Supplier Dialogue”, which was held in the BMW Research and Innovation Center in Munich, Germany on the 28th of May 2019.
Under the theme Create Sustainability – BMW Supplier Dialogue, the BMW Purchasing and Supplier Network invited selected partners to present their sustainability-related innovations, projects, initiatives and collaborations.

The aim of the event was to initiate a dialogue between suppliers and BMW representatives to talk about sustainability. By exchanging information and bringing experts together, they wanted to create added value as well as a clearer understanding of current topics and projects.

The event hosted more than 10,000 BMW staff from different business units and representatives of the BMW Group’s top management and Aquafil was there with a booth dedicated to ECONYL® yarn focused on the application that this special product might have in the car sector.

In the middle of the conference hall, a model of BMW i3 was displayed to prove that there is no design without sustainability.
Indeed, the very linear design and the interiors made with sustainable materials including ECONYL® regenerated yarn give this car model a functional look which is at the same time practical and state-of the-art.
