AQUAFIL AWARDS THE NEW DRYARN® CLIMBING AMBASSADOR: MIKE KOSTERLITZ.
On August 25, in Arco (Trentino, Italy) Mike Kosterlitz, Nobel Physics 2016 Award and Climbing World Legend, was named Aquafil’s 2017 Dryarn® Climbing Ambassador during the Rock Master Festival for his contribution to the promotion of climbing. The award was presented during the 12th edition of Arco Rock Legends, an event now considered to be the Oscars of the climbing world. “My years as a climber have been very important to me, and it’s really a special thing to be rewarded for my first climbs,” said Kosterlitz of his Award received from Fabrizio Calenti, General Manager of Aquafil S.p.A. Kosterlitz was an authentic legend of the climbing world in the ‘70s and is certainly a source of inspiration for all climbers. Just think that the Kosterlitz Patch, discovered by Mike in the Valle dell’Orco in Italy, is one of the first boulders ever climbed. Mike, clasping his hands to fix those 7 feet vertical slit, saw it over, once more.”
