AQUAFIL CELEBRATES 50 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
This year marks an incredible milestone for our company.
In October 1965, Aquafil S.p.A. was born in Arco (TN), Italy making 2015 our semicentennial. To celebrate this milestone, the company decided to open its doors to employees and their families to show its appreciation and celebration of half a century of hard work and dedication. Employees and their families were invited to a behind the scenes look at the production process that has led Aquafil to become the leading nylon manufacturer in Europe and second largest in the world.
Over the course of two days (October 10th and 11th), Aquafil executives took visitors along a fascinating journey through the production process. Visitors were granted insider access to the cogeneration plant that provides energy to Aquafil’s manufacturing processes, the polymerization, spinning and masterbatch departments where polymer and fiber are made and the carpet center where customers work with Aquafil experts to produce exquisite carpets worldwide. At the end of the tour, guests had the opportunity to stroll down memory lane and relive the major milestones Aquafil has conquered in its 50 year history. Saturday evening brought Aquafil executives from across the world together to celebrate with employees, friends and family at a dinner gala hosted at the Riva del Garda convention center. The celebration was full of fun, nostalgia and a bit of magic as the company honored the people and milestones that have gotten us where we are today. Here’s to the next 50!
