Aquafil CEO Giulio Bonazzi at the 12th Italian Business Forum in Ljubljana
On 6 March 2026, Aquafil’s CEO Giulio Bonazzi will participate in the 12th Italian Business Forum (IBF), titled “Enabling Innovation – Technologies, Ecosystems, Investments”, taking place in Ljubljana.
Promoted by the Italian-Slovenian Forum in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in Slovenia, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), the Italian Cultural Institute and Confindustria Slovenia, this year’s edition is organised in partnership with the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business, which will also host the event.

The Forum places innovation at the centre of its agenda, exploring the enabling factors that support it both within enterprises and in their broader business environment, with the objective of strengthening innovativeness, competitiveness and resilience in Italy, Slovenia and across Europe.
The 2026 edition builds upon the research project “Exploring the Growth Potential of Deep Tech and Other Emerging Technologies in Slovenia”, developed by the School of Economics and Business’s highly-ranked IMB programme and published in the homonymous book (Finance, November 2025).
The publication includes a comprehensive case study presenting the pioneering pathway accomplished by Aquafil, a global innovation leader headquartered in Italy, with a significant presence in Slovenia. The research also addresses several other protagonists who, through their own experience, demonstrate how innovation enablers can be leveraged — and, in some cases, created — within different institutional and business environments.
At 10:20 AM, Giulio Bonazzi will take part in the panel discussion titled “Aquafil’s journey from the driving seat.”
The Forum represents an opportunity to engage in high-level discussion on innovation and to further strengthen cooperation between Italy and Slovenia. Participation in the event is free of charge, subject to seat availability.
Registration is available on the official Forum website.
