Chiara Mio is the new Chair of Aquafil S.p.A.

The new Board of Directors of Aquafil S.p.A. was appointed on Thursday 27 April 2023 and will remain in office until 2025. The members are Giulio Bonazzi, Stefano Giovanni Loro, Franco Rossi, Chiara Mio, Silvana Bonazzi, Francesco Bonazzi, Francesco Profumo, Patrizia Riva and Ilaria Maria Dalla Riva. 

The Board of Directors has appointed Dr. Chiara Mio (in the photo) as Chair of the multinational company and confirmed Dr. Giulio Bonazzi as Chief Executive Officer.

Full Professor at the Department of Management at Ca’ Foscari, University of Venice, Chiara Mio is internationally known for her focus on sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
She contributes to several scientific journals and is a member of bodies that promote sustainability policies on a global scale.

She combines university research with practice, participating as a member of the board of directors within listed companies (Banco BPM, OVS, Aquafil) and others. From 2014 to 2022 she has been Chairwoman of Crédit Agricole FriulAdria (Crédit Agricole Italia Bank Group), being the first Italian woman to chair a bank.

Since 2020 she has been a member of the IFAC Board (International Federation of Accountants) board and since 2022 she has been a member of the EFRAG Sustainability Reporting TEG.

From 2021 to 2022 she was Vice-Chair SME and Sustainability, Accountancy Europe and from 2015 to 2020 she was Chairwoman of the ESG Reporting Task Force, also at Accountancy Europe in Brussels.
