Fashion Week in Milan. Who does not know the big event?

September 24, 2017.

Fashion Week in Milan, Italy. Aquafil was there and our company was at the center of the show of the “Green Carpet Fashion Awards”, the “Oscars” of Sustainable Fashion, assigned with a great event at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan on the evening of September 24th.

In the heart of Milan, in the green garden set in the beautiful Piazza della Scala, the real  protagonist of beauty and sustainability was a wonderful green carpet, a real art work of 1200 m2 made by Aquafil with ECONYL® yarn, a sponsor and also sustainable ingredient of some dresses finalists of the Award.

The many celebrities present at the “Green Carpet Fashion Awards” walked on the green carpet with the beautiful pomegranates, the symbol of the award. In total 11 prizes, all dedicated to Made in Italy, were given in “recognition not only for the best sustainable clothes, but for the whole year’s work done by the entire fashion chain,” explains Livia Firth, wife of actor Colin Firth (watch the video) and soul of Eco-Age (the British consulting firm, partner of the Camera Nazionale della Moda italiana in this project). Brazilian model and activist Gisele Bündchen, was awarded with the very first Eco Laureate Award in partnership with Vogue Italia. Giorgio Armani, Miuccia Prada, Gucci and Valentino Designers were also awarded and they were all on the stage together for the first time ever .

Discover the photos of the greatest event of the year in Italy and some of the celebrities present at the award ceremony with the Aquafil President Giulio Bonazzi and his wife.
