Giulio Bonazzi at AQUAFORUM 2024: Aquafil’s Contribution to the Circular Economy

On November 28, 2024, Giulio Bonazzi, CEO of Aquafil, will be among the guests at AquaForum Los Lagos 2024, a leading event focused on the circular economy and innovative waste management. The forum will take place at the Hotel Enjoy in Puerto Varas, Chile.

This important event for the aquaculture industry will bring together experts and entrepreneurs from around the world to discuss the future of the sector and share experiences and best practices related to transforming waste into valuable resources.

As part of the session titled “Circular Revolution from Patagonia to the World: The Key to Sustainable Progress”, Giulio Bonazzi will share Aquafil’s expertise in developing technologies that turn waste into reusable products. During his talk, titled “Experience of circular economy and waste management technologies worldwide”, he will provide an overview of the innovations reshaping the sector, promoting responsible and sustainable solutions.

Chile plays a key role for Aquafil, thanks to ACCA (Aquafil Chile and Atando Cabos). The facility in Puerto Montt is dedicated to collecting and sorting spent fishing gear, with an initial capacity to process 2,500 tons of material per year, making a concrete contribution to a more circular production model.
