Impact Highlights from 2024
- 237 tons of fishing nets and marine litter removed or prevented from polluting the seas, entering a new cycle of regeneration;
- Collaboration with 1,250 fishers and fish farms to tackle marine debris;
- 10,000 children engaged through educational programs, fostering ocean stewardship;

One of the most significant milestones was a large-scale cleanup operation targeting three abandoned fish farms, which not only removed a substantial amount of marine litter but also brought global attention to the often-overlooked issue of ghost farms. Healthy Seas also expanded its impact with new projects in Ghana, partnering with local NGOs to address marine litter and support coastal communities.
In 2025, Healthy Seas will continue its mission with a focus on tackling ghost farms, launching new initiatives in Ghana, and deepening scientific research on the effects of marine litter.
