INDUSTRIAL PROBLEM SOLVING WITH PHYSICS

From 21 to 26 August, took place the Event “Industrial Problem Solving with Physics”.
The event was organized by the Department of Physics and the Research and Technology Transfer Support Division of the University of Trento, in collaboration with Confindustria Trento and had the purpose to boost the connection between University and industry.
The real protagonists of the project were students (master course students, PhD students and fellow researchers) who have been asked to find solutions to technological problems proposed by some participating companies.

The problem proposed by Aquafil, one of three companies involved, was the optimization of the use of pigments in the color masterbatch.

Within a week (this was the available time) students found out 2 interesting solutions that will surely require further tests but are very important for new developments.

Dr Bonazzi, both as Aquafil president and as Vice President of Confindustria, Mr. Crippa and Mr. Buccella were present during the exposure of the solution.
