Aquafil USA set to celebrate Sweet 16
Aquafil USA is preparing to celebrate the inauguration of its second North Georgia manufacturing facility and expansion to its US headquarters at its 16 year anniversary celebration on May 29, 2015.
The celebration will include a reception, tours of both facilities in Cartersville and a plated luncheon. The continued growth of Aquafil USA reaffirms the close ties between the state of Georgia and Italy, Aquafil’s mother country.
The Italian ambassador to the United States Claudio Bisogniero and Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp will address the audience on the importance of growth and international business relationships. Aquafil USA is the largest Italian-based company operating within the state.
The opening of a second Cartersville facility 16 years after Aquafil USA’s inception confirms its consolidated footprint in the North American market and confirms its commitment to the carpet industry.
The latest expansion has introduced new technology to process used carpet and generate feedstock destined for the company’s ECONYL Regeneration System in Ljubljana, Slovenia. ECONYL is the only nylon 6 polymer made from 100% regenerated material with a minimum of 50% post-consumer.
