Aquafil Group participated at the international meeting in Zagreb / Skupina Aquafil na mednarodnem srečanju o energetiki v Zagrebu

Dr.Sc. Saša Muminović president of the board of AquafilCRO and member of the board of AquafilSLO participated at the meeting of Slovenian and Croatian businesses with the presidents Pahor and Milanović. Mr. Muminović, who is also the president of the association of Slovenian and Croatian businessmen SLO CRO Business Club represented the interests of Aquafil Group in the region and presented the Group’s views on energy development and the green transition.

The meeting entitled “Business Meets Politics: Energy today and tomorrow”, organized by SLO CRO Poslovni klub in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in the Republic of Croatia, was aimed at exchanging existing good practices and finding new opportunities for cooperation in the field of energy in the light of current conditions and the need for a green transition. “For Aquafil, which has been a pioneer in circular and sustainable business models for more than a decade, the field of energy is central to the efforts of reducing our environmental impacts. But also in these we are looking for solutions together with other stakeholders. The green transition, or sustainable development, is not a matter of an individual company, but it calls for broader cooperation of many actors, which goes beyond national frameworks,” commented Dr.Sc. Muminovic.
The international business meeting organized by the SLO CRO Business Club was attended by the President of the Republic of Croatia, Zoran Milanović, and the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, who was paying visit to Croatia at the end of his presidential mandate.

“Energy is a key topic at the moment,” President Milanović said in the introduction, emphasizing that energy is not a commodity, but a resource that ensures security, independence and power. In his speech, President Pahor said that Croatia’s imminent entry into Schengen and the Eurozone will also have positive effects on the Slovenian economy and that it will further strengthen cooperation between the two countries. Both presidents emphasized the extreme importance of good neighbourly relations, which are at the highest level at the moment.
In his speech, the president of the SLO CRO Business Club, Dr.Sc. Saša Muminović stressed that Croatia is Slovenia’s fifth foreign trade partner, and Slovenia is Croatia’s third, adding that Croatia and Slovenia are the most important investment destinations one after the other.
The two presidents took time for coffee and a conversation with businessmen, after which the panel “The future of energy and the green transition” followed with leading representatives of the companies Gen Energija, Petrol, Indeloop, Siemens and Orbico, moderated by Dr.Sc. Muminovic. Minister of Economy Matjaž Han and State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Croatia Ivo Milatić were also guests of honour at the event.

Na srečanju predstavnikov pomembnih gospodarskih družb iz Slovenije in Hrvaške s predsednikoma Pahorjem in Milanovićem je sodeloval tudi dr. Saša Muminović, predsednik uprave AquafilCRO in član uprave AquafilSLO. Kot predsednik združenja slovenskih in hrvaških gospodarstvenikov SLO CRO Poslovnega kluba je zastopal interese Skupine Aquafil v regiji ter predstavil poglede Skupine na razvoj energetike in zeleni prehod.
Srečanje z naslovom »Business Meets Politics: Energetika danes in jutri«, ki ga je organiziral SLO CRO Poslovni klub v sodelovanju z Veleposlaništvom Republike Slovenije v Republiki Hrvaški, je bilo namenjeno izmenjavi obstoječih dobrih praks in iskanju novih priložnosti za sodelovanje na področju energetike v luči aktualnih razmer in potrebe po zelenem prehodu. »Za Aquafil, ki je že več kot desetletje pionir na področju uvajanja krožnih in trajnostnih poslovnih modelov, je področje energije eno temeljnih pri zmanjševanju vplivov na okolje, pri čemer iščemo rešitve skupaj z drugimi deležniki. Zeleni prehod oziroma trajnostni razvoj ni stvar posameznega podjetja, ampak širšega sodelovanja številnih akterjev, ki presega državne okvire,« je srečanje komentiral dr. Muminović.
Mednarodnega gospodarskega srečanja v organizaciji SLO-CRO Poslovnega kluba sta se udeležila predsednik Republike Hrvaške Zoran Milanović ter predsednik Republike Slovenije Borut Pahor, ki se je na Hrvaškem mudil na svojem poslovilnem obisku ob zaključku predsedniškega mandata.
“Energetika je ključna tema v tem trenutku,” je uvodoma dejal predsednik Milanović ter poudaril, da energija ni dobrina, ampak vir, ki zagotavlja varnost, neodvisnost in moč. Predsednik Pahor je v svojem govoru dejal, da bo imel skorajšnji vstop Hrvaške v Schengen in evroobmočje pozitivne učinke tudi na slovensko gospodarstvo ter da bo še okrepil sodelovanje med državama. Oba predsednika sta poudarila izjemno pomembnost dobrososedskih odnosov, ki so v tem trenutku na najvišji ravni.
Da je blagovna menjava med državama leta 2021 dosegla rekordnih 5,6 milijarde evrov, obeti za letos pa so še boljši je v svojem nagovoru dejal tudi predsednik SLO CRO Poslovnega kluba dr. Saša Muminović. Hrvaška je peta zunanjetrgovinska partnerica Slovenije, Slovenija pa tretja Hrvaška, je dejal Muminović in dodal, da sta Hrvaška in Slovenija druga za drugo najpomembnejši naložbeni destinaciji.
Predsednika sta si vzela čas za kavo in pogovor z gospodarstveniki, nakar je sledil panel »Prihodnost energije in zeleni prehod« z vodilnimi predstavniki podjetij Gen Energija, Petrol, Indeloop, Siemens in Orbico, ki ga je moderiral dr. Muminović. Na dogodku sta bila tudi častna gosta minister za gospodarstvo Matjaž Han in državni tajnik na ministrstvu za gospodarstvo republike Hrvaške Ivo Milatić.
