Aquafil completes acquisition of Domo Chemicals former Xentrys unit

Aquafil has completed the acquisition of Xentrys, the nylon 6 carpet yarn business unit previously owned by Domo Chemicals. A newly formed company, Aqualeuna, will begin operating the plant located in Leuna, Germany on Oct 1st, 2013. The facility has an installed manufacturing capacity of approximately 40 million pounds a year. Its twisting and heat setting capabilities are capable of achieving similar results.

The Aqualeuna plant is the 5th BCF extrusion operation run by the Aquafil group. The other 4 locations are Arco di Trento (Italy), Ljubljana (Slovenia), Cartersville (Georgia-USA) and Jiaxing (China).

Aquafil intends to fully integrate the Leuna plant into its organization to provide better service worldwide.
