Aquafil wins award at the UK-Italy Business Awards in Milan.
On November 23, at Palazzo Mezzanotte in Milan, the Department for International Trade (DIT), in partnership with Borsa Italiana / London Stock Exchange Elite, awarded some Italian companies who have chosen the United Kingdom to develop their business strategy and who have opted for investments on the other side of the Channel. During the eleventh edition of the UK-Italy Business Awards, the attendants at the ceremony were: Jill Morris, Ambassador of S.M. British in Italy; Andrea Sironi, President of Borsa Italiana S.p.A.; Luca Peyrano, CEO Elite; and Andrea Coscelli, CEO of Competition and Markets Authority UK. Aquafil was rewarded for its important investments made in optimizing the production processes of its Scottish Kilbernie plant, acquired from W & J Knox in 2014, which now accounts for 10% of Aquafil’s European turnover. The Award was delivered to Aquafil’s CEO by Jill Morris (in the picture). Aquafil’s CEO Giulio Bonazzi also spoke during the Panel Discussion entitled “ELITE, a Platform for International Growth”. Elite, which Aquafil has been part of for 3 years, was created by Borsa Italiana and is a platform that unites businesses, investors and advisor around a common goal: to grow.
