10 Years of Healthy Seas: The 2023 Activity Results!

The Healthy Seas Foundation recently shared the report of its 2023 activities, achieving results on a global scale! In 2023, Healthy Seas expanded its reach beyond Europe, setting foot and consolidating in key regions like Asia and the United States.
The educational plan also recorded notable growth compared to 2022, with four times more kids and adults getting in on the action compared to previous years.

Healthy Seas has been at the forefront of marine conservation for ten whole years, and the report shows the great impact that has been recorded around the world.
Below are their numbers for 2023:

  • activities in 7 regions in 20 countries;
  • 86,500 kgs of fishing nets and other marine litter were removed from the sea or prevented from ending up there, starting a new journey;
  • 1,250 fishers and fish farms were involved in their activities;
  • 14,942 children engaged in education programs;
  • 550 divers volunteered during;
  • 257 diving days.

A year that ended with new excellent results, reconfirming Healthy Seas as one of the leader in marine conservation.

Moreover, with the end of 2023, Healthy Seas also celebrates its anniversary, ten years since its foundation, a great satisfaction for Aquafil which helped and supported Healthy Seas in achieving this important milestone since its beginning.
