Aquafil Secures Top Spot Among Global Companies In “Textiles” Category

In a groundbreaking achievement, Aquafil S.p.A. [ECNL:IM] [ECNLF:OTCQX] has emerged as the global leader in the “Textiles” subindustry, attaining the top position as per the Morningstar Sustainalytics ESG Risk Rating1.

With an excellent rating of 10.7, marking a substantial improvement of 4.7 points2 from the previous year, Aquafil now stands firmly in the “low” ESG risk level, just above the “negligible” classification. The rating, ranging from 1 (lowest risk) to 100 (highest risk), places the company among the top three percentiles globally in Morningstar Sustainalytics’ comprehensive analysis, solidifying its status as a frontrunner in sustainable business practices.

This accomplishment underscores Aquafil’s unwavering commitment and the success of ongoing improvement initiatives. CEO Giulio Bonazzi expressed his optimism, stating, “The result obtained confirms our commitment and the effectiveness of the improvement process already initiated, which aims to achieve, by 2025, a negligible assessment of the ESG risk level.“
