October – the month of fight against breast cancer.

The month of October is dedicated to the fight against breast cancer. Breast cancer is the commonest cancer in women in Croatia. In 2016 it was the cause of 990 deaths.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to completely prevent the development of breast cancer; it is precisely for this reason that is necessary to detect the illness at the earliest stage. More than 90 percent of patients with breast cancer can be cured if diagnosed early and treated properly.
